I am a registered nurse with a strong background in maternal-child nursing.  I have been a nurse for 42 years and a nursing faculty teaching obstetrical nursing for 35 of those years.  Many times, I was also employed as a staff nurse in a hospital during the summer. I worked as a labor and delivery nurse, a nurse caring for postpartum patients and newborn patients and as a nurse in the newborn intensive care.  I recently retired from my faculty position.  I became interested in the Family Life Center because of the maternity population they serve and the Christian foundation of the organization.  I hope to work as an advocate for the women at the Family Life Center as they move through a sometimes confusing health care system, assist in teaching them self – care and care of their newborn, and assist staff with any health care questions.  I appreciate the opportunity God has given me to serve at the Family Life Center.
